Toast and Eggs

Here's a variation on my bacon and eggs pocketed apron. This is the vegetarian version. The pocket of this new apron is a delicious plate of eggs and toast!
Well, eggs, toast and a big juicy strawberry. This is what I love having for breakfast. Especially if the toast is made with some really good bread, rye is the best!
This snappy apron is a pretty navy blue, sturdy, but soft, 100% cotton twill. It has a nice thick weight to it and thus, will protect your clothes from splashes and spills while you get ready for your day.
The fun, breakfast themed pocket is appliqued out of cotton calico fabrics. Solid yellow and white for the eggs, solid tan and brown for the toast and solid pink and green for the berry. The plate itself is a pretty toile print that looks like fancy European china.
The ties are lilace purple gingham. The bias around the hem is a medium blue happy dog print.
All fabrics are pre-washed with environmentally friendly lavender laundry soap, and dried in the dryer.
My applique is all interfaced with fusible interfacing to prevent fraying, then topstitched with a pretty feathery zig zag.
cold wash, gentle, line dry.
