sterling silver morning glory flower necklace

Description

technically, these are morning glory flowers i preserved, made a mold of and then cast in sterling silver. the actual flower, however, is most often referred to as "bind weed" because the vining foliage wraps around everything and anything...and tries to kill it! you can pull it out, dig it out, whatever, but once a flower bloom appears: you (and your garden) are screwed! it is almost impossible to get rid of because the more you cut it, the stronger it gets. so, i pulled it and cast it. the formerly white flower bud looks stunning in sterling silver. i cast 10 flowers, alternated them with amazing freshwater pearls and soldered jump rings and viola! an amazing necklace! this piece ( i mean, a rendition of it, as it is a top seller) have graced the runway in new york as well as the renwick gallery shop here in washington, dc. its beautiful, original and amazing! i have it shown with white freshwater pearls, but can customize it for you with creme, pink, pale blue, shades of grey, bronzes: you tell me!
