Every bar not only cleans your body, but drenches your skin with moisture-rich shea butter, sweet almond oil, and naturally occurring glycerin.

That's right! Glycerin isn't an ingredient in true soap. It's a moisturizing by-product that forms naturally during the soap making process.

Manufactured body bars contain little or no glycerin. It's chemically removed and used as an ingredient in other types of body bars and liquid body washes.

Glycerin is most certainly good for your skin, but it isn't what makes soap 'work'. To make a body bar or liquid wash with glycerin some very unnatural ingredients must be added. Detergent foaming agents to create lather are a must, as well as synthetic thickeners and preservatives. These ingredients often neutralize the nourishing benefits of glycerin leaving your skin with a dry, tight feeling.
