Description
This romantic collage is a member of the Falling Hydrangea series.This series embodies the idea behind the Paper Elixir brand: the carefully preserved hydrangea, along with the multi-colored and -textured background represent the organic ingredients that often get thrown into my creative mortar-and-pestle that churns out pieces of great chemistry!
This 6" x 12" canvas-based collage contains layers of pages from a vintage medical textbook, a knubby raw silk fabric, delicate hand-dyed silk ribbons, various papers (cork, metallic, faux-bois, etc), a Gocco-printed mortar and pestle based on my sketch, and real hydrangea flowers carefully set with a pale gold acrylic medium.
It's ready to hang by your bedside or adorn any empty wall in your lovely abode!
A thin layer of satin-finish spray varnish is applied for UV protection.
"Px" logo affixed to lower left side of frame. Signed and dated on reverse of frame.
