This is one of my altered tin assemblages. This tin is a larger size, it measures 5 ¼ by 2 ½ by 1 an inch. This piece was lovingly distressed with my secret way of rusting and aging to perfection. This is a limited edition, will not be duplicated and will be signed and dated. I made this tin into a pin keep. I just love the look of this; I used an old piece of wallpaper and a clipping from an old diary as my background. Then I added a cut out of a vintage ad, showing this lovely lady with a wonderful hat. I gave her a strand of pearls as well. There is a small key and a little copper piece too. Inside, I used another cut out from the ad, to simply decorate the inside lid of the tin. I used a vintage piece of purple velvet stuffed with cotton for the pin cushion with a beautiful piece of old lace in the corner. I added a pair of small rusty scissors, bone china button, small glass purple bead and a vintage little medal pinned to the lace. This piece would love adorable in a vignette on an antique sewing machine, or anywhere with some old precious treasures. US shipping is priority, all others will be 1st class.
