Here's a cheerful apron to wear while making Saturday breakfast.
It features not one, but two appliqued breakfast themed pockets!
I have made several of these bacon and eggs pocketed aprons, but this one is in a pretty and very practical deep eggplant shade of purple. Spills and splatters don't stand a chance against a nice deep color like this.
This apron is 100% pre-washed cotton. The larger main pocket is an appliqued plate of bacon and eggs. The plate is made from a print that looks like fancy flowered china. The eggs are white cotton with a solid yellow cotton yolk.
The bacon is brown canvas with rose colored ric rac for the bacon's markings.
The cup of coffee that sits adjacent to it is is a bonus mini-pocket for keeping small trinkets and good luck charms. It's made from a really lovely cream and rose toile.
The edge of the apron is trimed with handmade bias trim. The ties are cheerful red gingham. The main body of the apron is a super soft plummy cotton twill.
The apron is cut very straight and flattering. The cheerful ties, tie in front for a pretty feminine look, or you can just tie it in back, and that looks swell too.
Please tie your aprons in back while working near the stove!
