Promise of the Sun King

The idea of creating a piece totally of sterling silver with accents that back up that look has been toying with my muse.
Using Eni Oken's bangle bracelet technique I fashioned the focal point of this necklace. Pieces of Bali silver, brushed silver, origami silver and smooth silver set the stage for multiple textures.
By using 30 gauge sterling silver wire I was able to sew accents of clear crystal, sterling silver beads and Swarovski shadow crystals into the necklace. Faceted crystal brios have also been added along the bottom of the necklace between the main beads.
Byzantine made with 18 gauge sterling silver completes the length of the necklace.
The necklace weighs in at 3.5 ounces...of which is mostly sterling silver. Worn at the shortest length it is 16" and has a 3" extender.
