Naturalist Necklace // Amethyst

Description

This is a stunning necklace inspired by Victorian cabinets of curiosity and the specimen jars of amateur naturalists.

A tiny antique glass vial, originally used to store pocket watch parts, has been filled with amethyst chips and strung on a goldtone chain. The vial's cork is still marked with the original hand-numbering, 16.

The vial measures approximately 1.5" in height, and 0.25" in diameter. It hangs on a 15" chain, designed to sit just below the collarbone. The chain closes with a lobster clasp in back.

This is an absolutely striking piece when worn.
