this book is professionally done even though it says first hat making. as this writer is a profesional hat designer. all the detail of each hat has its own character and it makes people happy to make and wear for sure!

first, this book teaches you three different basic shape of cloche with a black and photo and step-by-step instructions in the beginning of instruction pages. then, other hats introduced in this book is their advanced shapes and designs.

pattern are attached in this book. ( need to be photocopy or trace them onto some other paper, though.)
sizes of these patterns are M(56cm),L(58cm), LL(60cm for men)
basically, these patterns will match with some of projects.
on page4, there is a chart of matching lines of crown and the way a crown sewn for each hat.

instuctions are really detailed with photos for each step and photos of materials as well. it is because they will be the basic idea for making other hats. all other hats instructions have detailed diagrams and charts. everything is written in japanese. so personally, i recommend this book for someone who have already made a few basic hats. this book is probably needed more experience than the other handmade hat book i have here on etsy.
