Large Butterfly 8x8 Tile
Description
A large swallowtail butterfly graces this substantial tile.This relief tile is hand pressed in stoneware and glazed in multiple colors. The butterfly's wings are golden yellow, with deep teal blue and reddish brown glazes in the recessed areas, emphasizing their sculptural dimension. The butterfly's body is glazed in light green. The background of the tile is a reddish brown.
Tile measures roughly 7 and 3/4 inches high by 7 and 3/4 inches wide and is about 5/8 of an inch thick at the edges.
It is notched on the back so it can hang on a nail.
