Hand Drawn and Dyed Silk Scarf with Sirens and Seahorses

this is a unique item that took me days to create. it features mermaids and seahorses that were painstakingly drawn directly onto the silk using an ink specifically designed for fabric. there is such an immense amount of detail put into each mermaid, which is a recurrent them in some of my ink drawings. the scarf has been gently hand washed several times and the ink has stood up quite well. [hand-dyed three times to achieve the variegated colors [butterscotch yellow, pesto green and stream blue] it’s been hand-washed several times and the ink has stood up quite well. the colors fade into one another and in some instances create unusual patterns.] it will certainly be a conversation piece as well as beautiful wardrobe accessory to the most discerning of tastes. makes a great mother's day gift!

Dimension: 9 x 54 inches
Material: 100% silk scarf, dye wash, fabric ink

Care: hand wash in cold water with gentle soap, allow to air dry. iron on silk setting if necessary. there may be some amount of dye bleeding with the first wash, but that's normal.
