hello-
I am quite excited to be listing the pieces from this series. they're really fresh from the studio and they are a new experiment for me mixing my love for painting, drawing and canvas with my love for fibre, felt and textiles.

I hope you like them as much as I do.


this particular piece is called 'we keep making dreams for ourselves'
measures 6" wide, 8" high and 1.5" deep and is mounted on a stretched artists canvas.
the piece is composed of an acrylic and ink background, hand drawn characters on paper,
and vintage buttons stitched to the canvas with silk thread.

--’We keep making dreams for ourselves’ is a journey of self-exploration. The characters depicted represent my inner child in many ways. Throughout my life I’ve always been told I was mature for my age...I never really fit in with my peers growing up. Yet as time passes and I grow older, I feel the child inside of me gaining more freedom, and this excites me! As I honour my urges to create, the child inside is celebrating that creativity and freedom of expression.
Yet at the same time the consequences of real life and sometimes the battles of tough truths seep through this innocence. I have to balance my drive for creative freedom with the goals and dreams I want to make real.
To me - to live without dreams and goals is to neglect the heart and souls purpose. I would never want anyone to live without the reality that dreams DO come true if you really want them to. And I think it starts with believing in yourself.--
