The Submissive Dragonfly and the Mysterious Red Stone

This little dragonfly has come to rest on a ruby red oval pendant that is suspended from a necklace of tourmaline beads.

Sadly, I cannot seem to find the name of the stone the pendant is made of. The crystal structure looks very much like charoite, which is usually purple. I suppose it could have been altered in the lab to create the gorgeous red color, but I guess we'll just have to go with it being a mystery for now.

The brass dragonfly has been forced to embrace the pendant. And let me tell you it didn't cooperate willingly, but, in the end I won out. The necklace is comprised of 7 1/2 inches of tourmaline beads that were strung and separated by color with handmade golden spacer beads. At each end of this strand are beautiful old brass beads.

A length of bronze chain and toggle finish the necklace which is 20 inches total in length. If you would prefer a slightly shorter or longer necklace, this piece could be altered at no extra charge. Just convo me with your particulars.
