Garnets and Pearls for My Lady OOAK Necklace Hand Wrapped in Sterling Silver Wire with Pewter Flower Toggle Clasp
Description
In medieval times, garnets were worn or carried for protection while traveling, and were also believed to be charms against poison, wounds and bad dreams, and to promote good health. More recently, garnets are thought to be stones of purity and truth as well as symbols of love and compassion. Pearls, the aristocrats of gems, have long been associated with feminine royalty and famous beauty. They are believed to represent purity, innocence and integrity, and to enable one to accept love. This necklace combines both of these stones, having as its focal piece a cut slab of polished garnet, rich in character. It is strung on sterling silver wire, and accented with 150 rice pearls and 50 garnets, each individually wrapped and hung on a sterling silver box chain, then finished with multiple strands of sterling silver chain, ending in an elegant leaf and vine toggle clasp. It measures approximately 20" in length, including the clasp.
