Pink Sun, Rainbow Trees -Original Matted Monotype

Description

8.5" x 11" matted with a window mat to fit easily into an 11 x 14" frame. Frame not included.

This is a gelatin monotype, a one of a kind image printed using unflavored gelatin (like jello!) as a printing surface. I design and cut tree shapes to use as stencils, roll ink onto my plate, place the stencils, and print. I repeat this process, using a new color and the same shapes in a new arrangement, building up the print in layers.

Printed with Akua Kolor ink (waterbased and nontoxic) on Rives BFK printmaking paper with a delicately torn edge. On the back, it is signed and numbered one-of-a-kind.
