Dark and Light - Coordinating Battlets

- 100% Superwash Wool
- 4 batts total, each just around 1 oz for a total of 4 ounces.

Dark & Light is a brand-new line of coordinating(tm) battlets created and hand-dyed by me.

Based on how we sometimes separate out our roving, I came up with this idea. All 4 of the batts are made of the same colors, however 2 of the batts are predominately the darker color and the other 2 are the lighter color.

You can get creative with it - Spin 1 bobbin with the darks batts and 1 bobbin with the lights. Ply them together for a fantastic color effect. Or, spin 1 light batt, then 1 dark batt on 1 bobbin and do the same on the second. Ply them together for a shaded light to dark effect. Be creative – there are lots of wonderful things you can do with coordinating battlets, the only limit is your imagination! =)

These would make wonderful socks or other project and will create a shaded effect. The fiber was hand-dyed by me with permanent, professional washfast dyes.

Never spun from a batt before? There are many ways to do it, one way is to unroll the battlet and tear of a strip from the end. It’s already prepped so little to no pre-drafting is necessary. Start spinning away!

These are hand carded in a smoke-free, dog-friendly home. I don't allow my dogs in my fiber room however there is always a potential for allergies if you are sensitive.
