Delightful Silver Vintage Magical Wishing Chair Necklace from Hoolala

I had this wee gem of an idea years ago and I have been looking for a suitable vintage pieces ever since. A necklace that is a secret wishing chair!

Enid Blyton was one of my most favourite authors when I was a child. I used to love lying in my little calico tent in the garden tucked in a quilt - reading. Adventures of the Wishing Chair reminds me of one particularly humid and stormy summer and I remember making up wings to stick on the legs of the chairs in my tiny shed that sat at the end of the vegetable garden...

I made this necklace from a tiny silver plated chair I found in a boxed lot I bought from a dusty old auction room down the road from my crumbling old Victorian flat. It is not that old but a quirky unusual piece non the less and I have no doubt that people will be scrambling over to talk to you as soon as they see this strung around your pretty wee neck.

It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland and the eat me sequence when she gets smaller and smaller and of a little book I used to read when I was little about a wishing chair...

I will send it carefully wrapped and gift boxed.

The chair measures 55mm x 25 mm and the chain measures 66cms. I can shorten it if you would like it to be made into a choker style necklace.
