"Abstract no.8" is the eighth in a delightful new series of very small abstract art quilts where I play with the simple use of color, shape, line and texture. "Abstract no.8" has been machine appliqued and hand embroidered, and measures 6"x 6 1/2". This work has been mounted and backed with a fabric covered piece of Timtex heavy interfacing, which has been hand stitched to the back of the quilt. (This provides a wonderfully sturdy foundation, giving the textile piece a very finished and professional presentation, allowing the piece to hang nice and flat.)

"Abstract no.8" is titled and signed on the back. A flat cord hanger has been securely sewn to the backside, for immediate hanging gratification. (Of course, the quilt is also suitable for framing should you so desire!)

(If kept unframed, you can easily keep the quilt clean by simply going over it with a lint roller every now and then.)

Note: The blue boarder is a periwinkle blue...while I try my very best to accurately represent the colors in my photographs, please keep in mind that some colors just don't want to show up as they truly are! Some colors may vary from monitor to monitor, sometimes appearing a bit brighter, or sometimes appearing a bit more washed out then they actually are.
