Sand Flower - 2008


Ingredients: acrylic paint, beach sand, finely ground glass, phosphorescent pigment, varnish, water & light.

It's like when I would build things out of sand at the beach, except now they stay that way. :o)


This painting is 12x9 inches, on stretched (3/4 inch) canvas, and is ready to hang or frame. The sides are painted yellow with the painting itself dripping over the edges. It is varnished and signed. Made with artist quality paints. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.

A light sprinkling of finely ground glass over the top of the painting makes it glimmer and sparkle in the light.

It will look different in natural light, artificial interior lighting, interior lighting and UV lighting combined, UV lighting only, and no light at all. High quality glow paints and powders cause the piece to glow brightly for hours after the lights are off.
