Neptune was the Roman adoption of the great god of the sea. More martial than his Greek aspect, this guy ran the show, tipped boats off the edge of the world, and when given just the right offering, would ensure save passage. Once thought to be the outermost planet of the system, astronomers believe that this planet contains traces of water that become more ionized should an explorer plunge deeper into its core.

In astrology, Neptune is all about the far-out things that are up to the whims of nature. Just as no one but the Moon controls the tide, Neptune rules over tsunamis and picnic days alike. It rules entirely the realm of imagination and fantasy, that place buried deep within us where our dreamings and fetishes are involuntary.

This fragrance captures that dreamy yet-force of nature quality: hemp seed is about the imaginings, while cypress bespeaks the sea. Plum wine and sweet orange essential oil topped off with lemon touches on the sweet and sour side of our fantasies, in the truest Neptunian scent.
