The Artist's Hands Altered Dress

Description

The hands on this altered dress are made from an actual X-ray of my hand I made into a stencil. Except, of course, for the large beaded hand on the front--that's a fabulous piece of batik fabric a friend brought back from her travels. The dress is large and loose, with a slit on one side.



Very comfortable, it's perfect for lounging or layering or dressing up with jewelry. I like to think it also has protective properties for an artist's most important tool: those marvelous, wonderful hands.
