This *reserved* listing is for a standard size lunch bag in garden gnome print.

Since I make so many customized Mylarkey Lunch Bags (see photos for examples), I've posted this listing to present the process and options so you can order one yourself! If you're interested, please contact me before purchasing to confirm fabric availability, size, and any additional pockets or features. See (far) below for information about the basic Lunch Bag. Feel free to design the Bag using the list below and/or your own ideas (check with me for a price quote). Bags are completed and shipped within 2 weeks of receiving payment, unless I need to purchase or order any materials.

Commonly-requested Lunch Bag options are:

Sizes:
Standard (5L x 5W x 9H inches) = $18
Large (7L x 6W x 10H inches) = $20
Extra large (9L x 6W x 10H inches) = $22

Optional extras:

Pockets:

Interior nylon ice pack pockets (2) = $2
Exterior pocket - no closure = $2
Exterior pocket - velcro closure = $2.50
Exterior pocket - zipper closure = $3

Additional layers (when materials are available):
Double insulation = $3
Interfacing for added rigidity = $2.50

Choose your own fabric (this gives you a chance to choose a fabric online that's *not* already in my stash and have me order it):
Fabrics ordered as 1/4 yard = add price of fabric (plus shipping) MINUS $1
Fabrics ordered as 1/2 yard = add 1/2 price of fabric (+shipping)

The BASIC MYLARKEY LUNCH BAG is:
1. big enough for your standard sandwich or leftovers lunch,
2. small enough to fit in a backpack or briefcase,
3. insulated with Insul-Bright (polyester and mylar) to keep your cold food cold (or, at least on the short-term, warm food warm),
4. lined with nylon inside for containing and wiping up spills and quick spot cleaning,
5. machine washable for deeper cleaning,
6. healthy for you: besides keeping your food cold, it is also vinyl- and soft-plastic free (see online articles about health concerns associated with these materials),
7. reusable and environmentally friendly,
8. last but not least, covered with a cheerful cotton print!

Notes: I came up with the name ‘Mylarkey’ after spending some time looking into the health safety of mylar (which seems to be quite safe, unless you get it in your eye!). But the name (and Bag) also make me think of my Auntie Janet, former schoolteacher and humorist extraordinaire.
