KIT -- Victoriana Lariat

Description

This is loosely based on a tradition Victorian Lariat design - I was excited to see a genuine vintage exemplar in Lacis in San Francisco a few months ago - but with a contemporary twist and today's colours.

The kit contains enough beads to make the lariat long enough to slip over your head easily, and the stitch used (netting) ensures a very comfortable and easy-to-wear piece of jewellery. The medallions hanging off each end are made using cross-weaving, with every step carefully explained and photographed. Unlike traditional Victorian lariats, which were generally knotted, this one is cleverly joined in the front so there's no need to continually adjust it as you wear it.

The finished length is about 36", but can be adjusted to suit.

Available colour choice are copper-lined seed beads with deep coppery-brown faceted beads, or copper-lined olivine seed beads with half gold coated soft green faceted beads.
