LAMPWORK: Lampwork... the exquisite, exacting art of creating glass beads by hand, one at a time, melting colored glass rods by torch and applying layer after layer of color, mixing and swirling the patterns, adding precious metals like gold and silver leaf and sparkling dichroic treatments...each finished bead a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art. THESE BEADS: Wow, what an unusually scrumptious pairing of colors! Breezy, cloudless-sky blue and various shades of soft, dusty violet...from pale and innocent to deep and mysterious. I just happened to find in one of my bags of goodies a few precious nuggets of vintage cut crystal rosebuds in a perfect shade of violet with a glittering irridescent finish; paired up with Swarovski glass pearls in Light Blue and opaque, gently-frosted pale violet glass beads, themselves with a faint glimmer of irridescence. Perfectly matching Swarovski 4mm crystal scattered throughout for a little extra sparkle. The 21" necklace is graced with a magnificent focal piece comprised of one last lampwork bead from which freely sways a last crystal rosebud and a long, gently-faceted swath of natural Blue Chalcedony...with a tiny Swarovski crystal at the very tip. Lovely french wire earrings have one lampwork bead nestled between tiny Swarovski crystals, then finished top and bottom with crystal rosebuds. A piece much more appealing in person, the pics pale in comparison. Naturally, an EVE'S GARDEN EXCLUSIVE, waiting for someone to take it home and love it.
