I created this journal from an original early-1960s record album cover, "Polka & Waltz Time" by Lawrence Welk.

Lawrence Welk (1903–1992) was a musician, accordionist, band leader and television impresario. Welk fans identify his style as "champagne music," because it sounds as "light and bubbly as champagne." His television program, "The Lawrence Welk Show," aired from 1951 to 1982.

This journal measures 9 3/8'' (23.8 cm) by 6 5/8'' (16.8 cm) and is filled with 50 extra bright, 24 lb. heavy weight blank pages (100 front and back). Bound with durable black coil binding.

All of my journals are made from albums that have either missing or unplayable records. Upcycled journals are a fun way to help the environment and bring the past back into the present. They're perfect for taking down classroom notes, sketching, etc.
