"Measure of a Woman" is a mixed media collage on a pre-stretched, ready to hang canvas.

I created this piece in response to my personal struggle with weight and body image. I wanted it to show that the measure of a woman is NOT her dress size, but instead what's inside her heart and mind. That's why I used the same woman for each "size" - to show that every woman should be valued, and not because of the size on her pants.

This 9" x 12" canvas was covered in several layers of cream acrylic paint, then sheets of vintage dress patterns were layered on top. Aqua paint was then added with bubble wrap. I then added a vintage woman image (digitally "cut" and printed on canvas sheets), outlined in white. Digital numbers and circles were printed onto transparent stickers and added. A digital "caution" tape was printed and added, and then gaffer's tape was placed. Painted circles and buttons were then added.
