Mememento Mori means "Remember, you will die." This theme (and similar "Vanitas" themes) were popular in the Victorian era in combination with the popularity of mourning jewelry and the emphasis of morality.Bottle contents: A scrap of black lace threaded through a skull bead, a garnet, and a bit of a peacock feather.
The gears of the piece underline the rapid passing of time and inevitability of death. A beautiful piece with a dark twist.
