Red plaid sock pocket (knitting bag)

Description

For the hunter in your life who loves to knit socks. The mighty hunter can hook the bag on his belt loop and knit socks while he waits for his prey.

Inspired by my own socks knitting needs, this bag is the right size for a single ball of sock yarn, a pattern, a small tape measure, a small pair of scissors, and needles. The flap closes with a black button over a small pocket for notions. The bag is 8 inches (20.5 cm) tall by 5.5 inches (13.5 cm) wide. The small pocket is 3.25 inches (8 cm) wide by 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) tall. The latch on the back closes with velcro. Use it to hook the bag inside another knitting bag to keep this project separate, or hook it on your purse or belt loop to carry it with you.

With the flap closed, the holes one either side of flap allow the yarn to pull freely from the yarn ball so you can knit, for example, while waiting in line at the bank or riding the bus without worrying that your yarn ball will come out or tangle.
