Sand and Sea Weed - Earth Sprout weed pot vase by Earth N Elements Pottery

Another piece from my Earth Sprouts collection, which are small sized, stoneware vases with narrow necks. Inspired by natural gourds, fruit and vegetable shapes. Purely art, not meant for functional use, simple in form and a variety of colors are produced (dictated by the kiln atmosphere).

A lovely little gourd shaped pot dressed in a soft sheened semi matte ivory, layered with some weathered copper green glaze, resulting in a lovely dripping green and gray effect over the base glaze. The the base of the pot and tip of the neckline is metallic bronze black and flows down into the body of the vessel. The opening in the slender neckline is just large enough to hold a stick of incense or single stem flower or weed. The piece is inscribed with my initials and year date. Measures about 3 1/2" tall and 2 3/4" wide and fits perfectly within the palms of your hands.
