This is an original piece that I painted using oil on canvas.It is gallery wrapped, so no need for a frame and is wired on the back for hanging...

This particular piece is part of an ongoing series I am doing with very inventive and organic type imagery...in this series I begin with an ordinary object and build upon it and morph until it is no longer ordinary. This piece, and the others in it, are like small glimpses into an imaginary world. I won't explain what I was thinking when I made this piece - my goal is for you to find your own explanation...in fact, I leave the titles open ended so that that you may be able to take part in the work..

The title of this piece is "They floated and waited for the.." ... what do you see in this piece - what does it mean to you? I began this piece while looking at a happy meal box in my studio and listening to NPR's coverage of Katrina.

This particular piece has been shown once in a museum in Memphis, TN and - but now it wants to find a permanent home....

The size is 24" high by 18" across... the perfect size for hanging in your living room or den - but it will not be a good painting for your car trunk.. my work lookd horrible in car trunks.

I have work hanging in various places like rich art collectors homes, university offices, people in New York and Georgia and some other places. So know you are in good company when you buy this piece.....
