Description

This work measures 5.75 inches x 8 inches. It is signed and dated top right lightly in pencil.

The painting is completed on heavy, gessoed, acid-free artist's paper. A quick pencil sketch is followed by bold, intuitive treatment with acrylics. The work is being sold unframed but a digital frame is shown so you can see how it might be presented.

I wander the hills just north of Lake Ontario. This piece is from a series of intimate, small landscapes that has been continuing for many years.

This pasture is very hidden and hard to access. The field in front is always fallow...it's sometimes plowed but I've never seen a crop here.

I have been painting, showing, and selling for over 25 years and divide my time between painting and teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master of Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Education.
