Baby Boy Flannel Quilt
Description
At the end of a pregnancy many moms experience what they call ‘nesting’ and they tend to clean things that have never been cleaned before with an alarming amount of vigor. Well, I experienced a different kind of nesting…I couldn’t stop sewing. In the few weeks before my second daughter was born I put a border on three quilts and completed seven other quilts. I also completed my part in my cousin-in-laws quilt on the same morning my daughter was born. The following is one of the quilts I completed:I created this quilt from some flannel squares that I had left from making a rag quilt. The squares in this quilt are a combination of blue, red and brown flannels. And of course, I put a baby blue flannel on the back to create a coziness I love and I’m sure a child will also love. My aunt-in-law, Barb Raisbeck, did the machine quilting with her long-arm machine. Size: 38” x 30.5”
