Polymer Clay and Copper Flower Earrings

Description

A pair of earrings handmade from polymer clay and copper. The ear wires are made from oxidized sterling silver.

Millefiori cane slices were molded and tucked into copper cones. The copper was textured, forged and treated with heat to produce a colorful patina. A light sanding further accentuates the texture.

Everything from the millefiori to the ear wires was hand crafted by me.

Earrings measure 1.5 inches from the top of the loop (not including ear wire) to the bottom of the flower. The flower petals are 0.8 inch wide at the widest point. The earrings are not identical to each other and one is slightly larger than the other. Measurements are of the smaller earring.
