Many generations ago A white man who traded goods to the Native Americans was perplexed by the sudden demand for his bone stemmed tobbacco pipes ,the tribes didn't want just A few ,they wanted hundreds ! he soon discovered that the pipes were being dismantled and the stems were used to make jewelry and adornments of all types. So it was, the hairpipe bead was born. The generations that followed embraced the style created with these unique beads ,as we know today , to become A traditional element of design across many Native American nations.

The closure is made in the traditional way from soft yet sturdy leather , that is easy to put on and comfortable to wear.
