Description
The "River of Blue Fire" is the second volume in Tad Williams Otherland-series. It is set in the near future when the internet has evolved to a virtual-reality network. A secret group of rich people even started to build a network that feels completely real. They created many worlds where they live out their fantasies, some based on classic novels like Alice in Wonderland or the Wizard of Oz. The river of blue fire is the river which flows through this whole universe, but is also the frontier between the single simulated worlds. In order to leave one world and get to the next, the heroes in this book must find the gateways which are connected to the river.Like its sister, the "Golden Shadow", this yarn is a two ply of soft merino fiber with handdyed pure tussah silk. The shining silk is dyed in different shades of blue, the merino is mostly dark blue, but contains some thick parts in lighter tones. There are also dyed mohair locks and multi-faceted blue sequins in this yarn. About 8 wpi because of the thick strands.
