This 17 inch necklace embodies all the color and energy of Nepal with beads purchased at some of the shops that border the Bodhnath Stupa a holy Buddhist shrine in Kathmandu. Chinese Turquoise nuggets, big tube shaped coral beads as well as various other shapes of Coral beads, highlighted by sacred yak bone mala beads encrusted with coral and turquoise, some with brass accents which were originally strung as a prayer mala. A gold tone toggle clasp and sweet Peace charm finish the look.

One of the main compounds of the Turquoise stone is copper. This is what gives it the blue, green, blueish-green colors. It also is often combined with the Azurite stone as well. Turquoise is wonderful for drawing out negative vibrations from a person. It is best to place it at the feet or worn inside the sock for this. It dissipates negativing as it draws from the body. It allows the negativity to go back into the ground. A good stone for helping one to bond with the spiritual. It offers much uplifting. Also helps open the heart chakra for giving and receiving.

Coral represents diplomacy and concurrence. It quiets the emotions and brings peace to within the self. Facilitates intuition, imagination and visualisation. Coral expedites and accelerates the transfer of knowledge.

Tibetan Yak Bone is used in practice because the more we contemplate death the more fruitful our life becomes. We begin to live life differently and accept that death is inevitable while the path to the end of this life is about service to others, loving all, and being happy (without the pursuit of happiness) in each moment...through the supposed good and bad.

Yak is an important animal in Tibet as they are used as packing animals for the nomadic tribes and to honour their passing they are used in practice. Continuing to be of service as they pass from this consciousness to another.
