Dark Brown Leather Journal - handbound . 320 beige pages

Description

This 320-page journal is 5½" x 4¼" (or 14cm X 11cm). The wrap-around cover is dark brown cowhide leather. There is a leather strap around the book that wraps around and tucks under itself to keep the book neat.

The pages are handbound with linen thread. This is an old style of longstitch binding that has been used for hundreds of years. It makes a sturdy and practical book structure and opens entirely flat.

There are 320 pages (when you count both sides of each sheet). Pages are 24lb, unlined, beige speckly paper, with torn edges. This particular paper contains 30% recycled material.

Book size is about 5½" x 4¼" and over 1" thick (14cm X 11cm X 2.5cm).

I try to make each of my books unique so if you have one of my books, you can be pretty sure that nobody else has one quite like it! Most of my books are made using historic book structures from the Medieval and Renaissance eras and I try to be as accurate as possible given the limited information that is available about these books.
