I am reducing all my current weaves in order to make way (space in my apartment) for some new designs.
This scarf goes beautifully with a shawl pin and one will be included with it, free of charge.
Aoife, has been handwoven on an 8 shaft hand loom. It is beautifully soft, remarkably tickle-free and the perfect accessory to warm up your shoulders on a cool summer evening, or add a special touch to any night out.
The colours are rich shades of teal, and peacock blues & purples; "blue-bell" and aqua-green wool / mohair bouclés, with blocks of cerise mohair. Mauve ribbons run through the weave to add a subtle reflective touch.
It is approx. 75% mohair, 20% wool (in the boucle and mohair mix), 5% other fibres. It has been pre-washed, and can be handwashed in cold / cool water (maximum 30ºC) with a mild detergent; do not agitate too much when washing. Excess water can be removed by laying flat in a towel and rolling up. Flat dry. Cool iron if required.
DO NOT machine wash, DO NOT tumble dry.
Handspun pure mohair (which is contained in this shawl) will invariably leave tiny strands of mohair fibre on whatever you are wearing - But there's no need to worry! These are easily removed with a "fluff remover", "lint roller", or simply by running a piece of sellotape lightly over the garment you were wearing to remove the mohair fibres.

The Shawl is 17" x 61" with a 4" fringe on either side (in cm that's 43cm x 154cm with 10cm fringe on either end)
