Swimming in the Ocean - Glass Mobile Collaboration

Title: Swimming in the Ocean
Dimensions: 2.5ft wide and 2.5ft long
the largest cirle is 4" in diameter

This is a collaboration between myself and artist Amanda of Bread and Badger http://breadandbadger.etsy.com

Each blue circle is hand-etched by Amanda with a unique little ocean creature. Each design is etched freehanded with a dental drill, one line at a time, giving it personality and character. There is a shark, an octopus, crab, jelly fish, sea horse and a sea turtle! I then took the glass pieces and constructed a mobile out of them. So the mobile is a sea of creatures in different blues.

This is a handmade mobile for the home, office or garden. Glass pieces are individually crafted and I make the steel structure out of galvanized wire so it will not rust with age. I engineer the structure so that the mobile dances and the glass pieces will never smack (it is not a wind-chime).
