Very simple are these earrings, yet very eye catching. A funky design in sterling silver is the main focus of this pair...but I just had to include a bead! The beads are artisan lampwork glass spacers that were designed by Amber at http://thebeadlounge.etsy.com. And, holy cow, are they exquisite! An aubergine or eggplant base glass that has been *smothered* in a shimmery violet powder, these pixie spacers also have a cool trick! Indoors, they are a deep dark purple. In natural lighting, they are a lighter sparkly violet. They are a fabulous complement to the sterling silver. The wire was shaped by hand and flattened with a hammer. I then oxidized the metal for an antique look.

Earwires were hand-fabricated using 20ga sterling silver wire. They have not been oxidized and remain a bright silver. The earrings measure 2 inches or 5 centimeters in length.

Also note that all artisan lampwork glass beads used in my designs are kiln annealed for strength and durability.
