Cracker-Berry Miniature Painting

This little painting came outta nowhere! It is a miniature oil painting of a cracker-berry flower on the wooden backside of an architectural countertop sample, sized 2 inches by 3 inches.
Isn't recycling fun?!?

What started the painting was a desire to play with a newly discovered technique for oil painting on wood. I had all these little wood backed samples that I use for my wood burned pendant packaging and decided what the heck. I was immediately drawn to the perfect positioning of the the word "CANADA". So, with my CANADA canvas in hand I headed to google where I did a quick search for "Canada Blossom" and the cracker-berry was the first to catch my eye.
The painting is signed on the front and signed/dated on the back.

And the best part about this as a painting surface? Is that it comes already equipped for quick and easy hanging!
