oxidized silver and fire opal column earrings

Here's a fresh design, finally, with others to follow soon. Carefully graduated colors and tones of Mexican fire opal are organically wire-wrapped in pairs to create a sort of column of beads and wire. The silver wire is left heavily oxidized to make a contrasting frame for the vibrant beads. These beads are so much more dynamic in 3-D and the colors are much richer and distinct than the photos portray. Earthy and lively, but sophisticated, too. Enjoy!

All metal in this pair is oxidized sterling silver and all gemstone beads are Mexican fire opal.

This pair measures just about 2 1/4' from the top of the leverback earwires.
