Sailchuach Sail Necklace

"Luscious Violet" in Irish, primarily because the woodland violet is my college sorority's flower. Silly, but there it is. This necklace features a lot of violet lusciousness, too: the central dangle is from a chandelier, at least 50 years old; then on either side of that I linked in foil-lined clear seed beads, faceted violet milk glass beads, Czech cathedral beads, silver-plated textured ball beads, and finally, a few aurora borealis crystal beads from a grandmother necklace. I made the links and fishhook closure from orchid colored copper wire, and the chain is a light-yet-strong silver-plated steel link I picked up locally; it looks great but doesn't detract from the feature section of the necklace.
