Black-necked Stilt handmade pyrography on leather split
Description
This Black-necked Stilt is a 5" x 7" framed pyrographic artwork on leather split (sueded), a technique developed by the artist. The bird is then painted with acrylic paint and the whole artwork is sealed. The eyes and beak are treated with a special acrylic finish to give it a realistic, glassy look.This is a very unusual One-of-a-kind piece. Stilts themselves are very delicate creatures, found in the wetlands. They are fighting a brave battle for survival every day.
