“A Little Tale”…

In case you are wondering how I came to be in possession of this custom Wizard’s hutch, which by the way, given the nature of Wizards, are hard to come by, let me tell you…

You see, unless a Wizard is a member of the “Wizards’ Wizardry to the Nth Power Council”, Wizards tend to wander by nature, moving every 500 years or so. They travel through time; dimension; to earthly places, normally hidden, secret or in Hollows; and to places on different vibrational planes. And, when they leave, they only take a few possessions particular to them at that moment.

So, it is the Wizard’s wandering nature that resulted in my acquiring this fine piece.

“The Scoop”…

You will not find another cabinet as well crafted, detailed, and filled with so many one-of-a kind, handmade items, plus signed and dated, anywhere for this price.

In making this miniature dollhouse scale (1:12) pine hutch, I applied six coats of paint, sanded, brushed, and damp washed each layer before applying the next one. The paint and glue used are both non-toxic. The resultant color is similar to a mahogany with one of the undercoats being red. Splashes and dashes of gold and glitter accentuate the final coat of paint.

The hutch features four doors. Two sets of the doors have open fronts. I intentionally made one of the two open front doors and one of the solid bottom doors immovable and I removed the center panel on the bottom between the two solid doors so you can see what’s inside on the two shelves.

The hutch stands approximately 7” tall at the tallest point and is approximately 4 1/16” wide. One side of the hutch has a metal plate with what appears to be “secret Wizard symbols” on it, a silver tone finding that mimics a star, and a metal button with a swirling sun-like image. On the other side, there is a black metal curved piece, no doubt a Wizard’s secret sign.

Dangling from an open fabulous “silver” metal dynamic swirl, is a blue bicone shaped bead atop a vintage silver tone round ball shaped bead.

The hutch is filled with all kinds of curious, enchanted, and spooky (eek!) eye candy, such as: a skull wrapped in what seems to be ectoplasm; skeleton’s bones being cooked; fairy portals, which may indeed lead to the Fairy Rhelm; bottles of Wizard supplies; a crystal ball; a scrying ball; books; a metal plate with more possible “Wizard secret symbols”; and what looks like a funerary urn. Gosh, I wonder whose ashes are in there!

But, that is all I am going to tell you. It is up to you to discover all the secrets, delights, and surprises I made for you.

I make my hutches one at a time… from start to finish. There is no assembly line in my workshop. No elves either. For this reason, this is truly one-of a-kind. I keep no written “recipes” for the color or instructions for the items I create to put into/on my hutches. Pieces on this hutch are from nature or created at the time I was working on it from materials at hand at that time. Thus it is one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.

This is not a toy. However, it was made to be used and enjoyed. From a smoke free home, this hutch comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is signed and dated.

This is an original design, story, and idea of mine.

Ideal for: dollhouses, room boxes, Halloween displays, dioramas, witch or wizard displays or as a collectible.
