Ingredients: acrylic, beach sand, varnish, phosphorescent pigments, glass, water & light.

Based on one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen, in the North Kohala area of the (big) island of Hawaii. A storm was approaching, but it stopped and held off right above where we were standing. The sunrays burst through the clouds and gave the entire area an interesting orangey glow, mixed with the approaching lavender of the evening. I won't forget it.

This painting is 18x24 inches, on stretched canvas with a gallery wrapped (1.5 inch thick) edge and is ready to hang. The sides are painted beige with the painting itself dripping over the edges. Made with artist quality paints. Signed and varnished. A light sprinkling of finely ground glass over the top of the painting makes it glimmer and sparkle in the light.

5. no light (glow in the dark for hours!)
