Fine Silver-Duo Pendant Oxidized with Pearls

Description

This original fine silver piece was made so that it can be worn on either side. It measures 1 1/8" x 1 1/8" square and has been oxidized to bring out the detail of the piece. One side features a fabulous gathering of circles and the other a collage of four squares, all with a different texture. I've added a sterling silver oxidized bail and three freshwater pearls which dangle from a decorative sterling ring. There are 19 grams of fine silver in this piece.

Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver. Precious Metal Clay is comprised of fine silver particles that are in a binder which burns away when fired in a kiln leaving only pure silver behind. The clay it forms can be molded, stamped, bent and shaped to form a design. After it dries completely the design is then sand finished and fired. After firing it is then tumbled to polish the piece and either left shiny or oxidized to add a patina that brings out the detail in the low spots and then buffed to bring shine to the high spots.
