Description
this original encaustic is applied to a recycled wood block. i transfer my drawings onto a base layer of encaustic, then overlay more encaustic onto the images. the wax is lifted, scraped, and incised in areas. i finish the piece with an ink rub to dull the color and enhance the texture of the wax.back of piece is bare wood and has a drill hole hanger. hammer in a nail to the wall and this piece is ready to hang flush mount or set it on a shelf or table.
