When Linneaus named this mushroom "Agaricus fimentarius" in 1753, he was giving it a valiant first try. As more about the relationships among the Agaricales have become known over the centuries, the name of this delightfully edible mushroom has undergone a number of changes. It is now called Coprinus comatus, as the phylogenetics has been more explored.

After I made my screen, I discovered that all the poster shops love this particular print, calling it, incorrectly "Egg Mushroom", and the artist Curtis, who was actually the 19th century publisher, not the artist. Oh well, what do retailers know, anyway? Its common name is the Shaggy Mane Inky Cap mushroom (or Lawyers wig). So I'm here to set the record straight!

This beater Tee shirt is a long and fitted, with a deep round scoop neck and deep scoop armholes. The neck and armholes are bound, and the back neck is high. The screenprint. in gray, is in the lower left, and I printed the original Linnean specifics at an angle.

Pictured is the XL. Colors also avail in XL are Black, Brown, Hot Pink, WIne & Pink.

Of course mushrooms belong with Safety Third -- especially among us mushroom hunters who love to eat their edible gatherings!
