Positive magic and painted light... These are but a couple of ways to describe the ephemeral magic of Polaroid Time-Zero film, ephemeral because Polaroid stopped manufacturing Time-Zero film in 2006. Though the currently available film is now expired, the vintage SX-70 cameras for which this treasured film was designed are still around and functioning. The original Polaroid was taken with an SX-70 Model 2. The far northern regions of the United States provide the perfect palette for Time-Zero, and I used a slow exposure time along with overexposure to get a clear Time-Zero blue in this photograph of the North Shore of Lake Superior. Each reproduction of the original Polaroid is signed.
